RE: City Trees

you can collect if they are in a road right of way, and there are no signs warning of the low height.

RE: Kin Pin Tripod?

i found the results wasn't worth the packing, cross bars on the jack legs did the most for me, next to blocking the thing up.

RE: ? on driving down the road in a class C

by the law everyone needs a belt, even pass. in the back. texas has been the only place that i've been that will check. and they will pull you over just for the issue....

RE: Is my transfer switch about to go bad?

make sure all the power is off, if you don't have this much knowledge you might what a shop to look at it? but for my 2ct's i would think the gen isn't coming to power as quickly as it was, causing the delay, i would start w/a gen tuneup and make sure i have good gas. 87 or higher, no mix. you shouldn't load the gen for? i always give mine a couple of min. to stablize, they (gen's) do not have full power right away.

RE: Reply from Four Winds on body issue

two of the main issues facing rv'ers today, delamation-poor construction, and parking rights. how is keeping water out of a outside unit the owner's problem when new?, the laws that cover auto's wouldn't let them get by w/that kind of sh*.#, so why should other builder's? second is the warranty issue if a unit has 1yr or 2yr why would it matter who own's it? i know this is their song and dance, mabey you need to get all the lemon owner's together for a class action suite? win the one and the rest will have to follow. next we need to contact our congressmen/women to give us some laws for basic protection if they are not all ready there...putting away my soapbox now, been there and had to buy the same ticket, and even if you swear never to buy that company's product again, they swap around holdings and change names so much, that you could end up in their craddle again, good luck keeping up....

RE: 1998 Bounder f 53 460 engine 4r100 transmission

change your fluid and cooler before doing anything else and see if this don't solve the problem. most transmisson shops will do the fluid change w/no problem but the cooler is another story, but it is important this gets done also, all the goo that doesn't come out the plug will be trapped in the cooler, clogging it, and then it's back to square one....

RE: Going to Orlando

don't know the last time you was to the space center, but it has a 30 or 40 dollar price tag now also. like anything else anything to make a buck, the shuttle system has improved but i felt like the sights (stops) or whatever you want to call em had been downgraded.... i seem to like the all you can eat lobster feast the best, more than one around and all offer different things, but for 30 bucks or so you stuff lobster in till you, well you know the rest. international road at nite? city walk? downtown disney? also watch your rushour times traffic is horrible... always wrecks and just too much, they are cracking down on the speeding but still always someone wanting to drive 90mph, and slam on the brakes at the last minute...have fun.

RE: hydraulic vs electric slide outs

less weight is the biggest adv. to electric, hyd. can take more abuse before going out, like when you forget to take your shoes out of the back and try to open or when your chair arm catches on the way in? either one is no deal breaker. electric should be a cleaner fit and run? in an event of a break down it sure is alot eaiser cracking a valve and shoving then cranking for 2hrs. jmho. i like em both.

RE: Whistling engine on grades

normal it's the air dam on your intake opening up. will happen when things are getting heated up. if you would just stick a open k&n or other type of air cleaner kit on it which usually has a more open box you will here it all the time. never had one that whistles but it does sound like a turbo spinning up.

RE: How many people have downsized their TV?

what kamp said: when it comes to heavy loads no 1/2 will tow like a 3/4 and 3/4 like a 1 ton.. can you yes, but do you really want too? it depends on just how much towing you do and how often, with how much time you have to get there! (if getting there in one pieace is important). the motor is only going to effect your hill climbs and take offs, but the frame, axles, and brakes are what it's all about.
